Getting hurt at work is never something you plan for, but knowing the right steps can make a big difference. Whether you’re currently working with Landrum Workforce Solutions or considering joining us, we want you to feel confident about how workplace injuries are handled. Our goal is to keep every worker safe, supported, and informed.
1. Make Safety Your First Priority
If an injury happens, your safety comes first.
• If the injury is life-threatening, your onsite supervisor will call 911 or direct you to the nearest emergency room.
• If it’s not life-threatening and will not risk further injury, move to a safe area to prevent further harm.
The onsite supervisor will contact your Landrum Workforce Solutions recruiter, who will contact Landrum’s Workers’ Compensation (WC) Claims Team. The Landrum WC Claims Representative will respond quickly so you get the care you need.
2. Report the Injury Right Away
Quick reporting helps ensure proper care and keeps the workplace safe.
• Employees should tell their on-site supervisor immediately after an injury.
On-site supervisors then contact your Landrum Workforce Solutions recruiter to start the official injury reporting process to the Landrum WC Claims Representative.
3. Get the Correct Medical Care
Depending on the type of injury, workers will be directed to:
• Nearest Participating Occupational Health or Urgent Care Facility – for strains, sprains, minor burns, small cuts, chemical exposure, or objects in the eye.
• Emergency Room – for severe injuries such as major breaks, amputations, serious burns, or head injuries.
Telemedicine is available for certain minor injuries.
This process stays consistent during business hours, after hours, and on holidays.
4. Stay Connected During Recovery
Workers should:
• Stay in touch with their onsite supervisor, Landrum Workforce Solutions Recruiter, and their assigned Landrum WC Claims Representative throughout their treatment.
This helps ensure smooth communication and proper follow-up.
5. Turn In All Required Paperwork
After receiving medical treatment:
• Submit your Return to Work documents to your onsite supervisor, Landrum Workforce Solutions Recruiter, and Landrum WC Claims Representative.
• If you paid for prescriptions or treatment out of pocket, send your receipts to your Landrum WC Claims Representative so they can be submitted to the carrier for possible reimbursement.
6. Complete the Injury & Incident Report
Employees and onsite supervisors work together to complete the Injury & Incident Report Form.
This document provides complete details of the injury for state reporting purposes and helps us to understand what went wrong, and how we can prevent a recurrence in the future.
7. Understanding Workers’ Compensation
If the injury occurred while performing job duties, Landrum employees may be covered under workers’ compensation, which covers the work related injury medical expenses and related benefits.
For candidates, this is one way Landrum demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
8. Questions or Concerns?
Employees can reach out to the Landrum WC Claims Department for guidance or clarification at our Injury Reporting Line:
