Looking for a new job? We’ve all been there at some point and know it can be overwhelming. I comprised a list of questions to ask yourself to set sail in the right direction of finding your dream job.

Job seekers who have a clear understanding of themselves often find jobs they enjoy going to every day. Studies show that happy employees are more productive, so you will feel more successful in a position that matches your needs. In addition, the brain works better when a person is feeling positive. Individuals tend to be more creative and are better at solving problems in a positive work environment.

Dive into your interviews knowing you know the fundamentals of what you are looking for in a career. Once an interview has been scheduled, don’t wipeout at the finish line.  When asked why you are interested in the job, don’t just say “to pay the bills”.  Please keep in mind that employers are also looking for a good fit for their team. Companies not only rely on a skillset fit, but a cultural fit as well.

Take a deep breath and ask yourself the following questions to find your new happy place!

Once you’ve answered these questions, visit our Job Center to see if any of our open positions fit your skillset!
